Saki was born and raised in Japan until the age of fifteen. She moved to Michigan with her parents because of her father's job and finished her high school and college education in Michigan. She has a Bachelor of Science degree in mathematics from the University of Michigan.
Although she was content working in the swaps and derivative sales division of J.P. Morgan, she discovered the joy of acting when she was accepted to be a member of a weekend theater company.
Saki made a decision to intensely study acting and went to Bungakuza Theatre Company's training school in Tokyo for one year. She continued her discipline at the Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute in Hollywood for one year after that.
Saki's current acting coach is John Ruskin at Ruskin School of Acting. She recently learned improv technique at the Westside Comedy in Santa Monica.
Saki's film credits include "Christmas in Beverly Hills" (Italy), "City of Lost Souls" (Japan), "The Ultimate Game", "Scorched", "M.A.R.R.A.", and many short films including "Ordinary Life" which is scheduled to be shown at National Geographic Environmental Film Festival in Washington, D.C. in March, 2014. Her television credits include guest starring roles in "South Park" (live action role within the cartoon), "Curb Your Enthusiasm", "Wasteland", and "Punk'd".
In 2006, Saki was appointed to be an anchor of "JATV News" and covered various topics that would appeal to the Japanese and the Japanese American community in Southern California and Hawaii weekly. She not only anchored but also often produced some segments where she acted as a reporter or interviewer in English and Japanese. She continued working for JATV until their show ended in September 2011.
Aside from her talent work, Saki is the owner of Saki LLC, a company that offers translation, interpretation, bilingual business consulting, and tutoring. She appreciates teaching accent reductions to the foreigners, since she herself struggled for five years to be able to speak like an American.
Saki is also working regularly as a voice over talent and the visual creator for a Japanese news program, "FCI Morning EYE".
In terms of charity work, Saki founded a non-profit group and program called "Konnichiwa (Hello) Little Tokyo for American Foster Children". The organization was established in 2009 and hosted over 500 guests from various foster organizations in Los Angeles who visited Little Tokyo to learn Japanese culture during the last five summers.
In her spare time, Saki enjoys watching movies, singing karaoke, cooking, and Zumba.
